Do you have experience of Digital Video Strategy and the drive to help beat cancer sooner? Can you…
Develop the digital video strategy for Cancer Research UK
Build a core capability that address user needs, business goals and digital ambition
Work with teams across the charity already delivering digital video content through YouTube and social as well as our own digital products to help them create content for our diverse range of audiences that drives maximum value for the user and the charity
Drive people, processes and technologies across the organisation to improve our digital video production capability
Here at Cancer Research UK we have ambitious goals. Our vision is for three in four people to survive the disease in the next 20 years, and that means we need to accelerate everything that we do. Whether that’s our scientific research, fundraising or cancer prevention initiatives, we have a passion to do things better and faster across the board.
One of the facilitators of this will be technology. Our aspiration is to adopt a digital mindset across everything we do. This role will be crucial in placing digital at the heart of our video content creation process and roles. We know we have a huge opportunity in this increasingly important space, but we need help in order to set our selves up for on-going success.
This role will drive sustainable change across people, processes and technologies to ensure that we match our visibility across Google search results in YouTube for cancer related content. You will help our people become even more amazing visual story tellers, establish ways of working and create conditions for these ways of working to succeed. By the end of this contract you will have developed a shared understanding of our digital video strategy across all the content producing teams, created a set of standards, guidelines and best practices for digital video that are widely used and created a management process around our YouTube channel.
Ideally you will have led a large publishing or media organisation through this same process, to a place where they are making the most of this exciting format across multiple business units, with multiple priorities, audiences and ambitions.
