Project Executive Duties and Responsibilities


Assist Customer Success Manager

The Project Executive’s central duty is to assist the Customer Success Manager. This can any number of tasks. Often, they’re assisting with the tasks outlined below, but they may also be asked to perform clerical duties, maintain contact with clients and parties involves through email and phone calls, answer questions and concerns, prepare presentations, and enter project data.


Create Project Plans

Project Executives develop concrete, detailed plans for a project, including the schedule, the budget, outlining the duties of each team members, identifying project goals, and setting a timeline for the project. They collaborate with various teams and hold meetings to develop project plans and present them to upper-level management before starting the project.


Monitor Project Progress

It is important that the Project Executive closely monitors each project he or she manages to ensure that projects remain on track, meet deadlines, stay under budget, and develop according to plan. They’re responsible not only for identifying project objectives, but ensuring that they’re met.


Report Project Results

Once a project is complete, the Project Executive, in conjunction with the Customer Success Manager, is responsible for gathering and documenting all project results and then reporting or presenting them to the appropriate parties. This usually includes clients and upper-level management. They should report on the success of the project and any setbacks that were encountered or room for improvement.


Management Information

Each month the Project Executive will lead the production of the monthly client monthly management information reports; this involves bringing various data sources together and creating powerful visuals for clients.


Helpdesk and Data Management

The Project Executive will be responsible for managing a key database of users. This is via excel and our proprietary software.


Project Executive Skills

Project Executives are detail-oriented multi-taskers. They have great communication skills and are able to easily adapt to changing circumstances. In addition to these traits, we are looking for candidates that have the following skills. Core skills / behaviours:

  • Having project management experience
  • Ideally knowing project management methodology
  • Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Confident, good phone manner and fluent in English (verbal and oral)
  • Has an interest in software / technology / start-ups
  • Wants to work in a start-up environment where every day is different
