About the job

The Digital Retail team is looking for a Product Manager with a passion for the customer and building an exceptional user experience to focus on rue21 digital properties. In this fast-growing team, you must be a self-starter and able to achieve business goals. You will be responsible for managing your product backlog, making appropriate product tradeoffs and measuring the success of your initiatives. This is not a role for someone who simply likes to be creative and generate ideas. We need someone who is happy getting their hands dirty in delivering creative solutions as well as generating great ideas.

-Utilize market research, customer surveys, and web analytics data to understand customer needs, discovering competitive and functional gaps and identifying new opportunities to ultimately define a product roadmap
-Support the product development lifecycle for the rue21 website, including writing and prioritizing user stories for feature development, creating wireframes, triaging bugs, leading User Acceptance Testing, and completing post-launch analysis
-Work closely with IT, development, and other cross-functional teams to successfully execute and deliver on initiatives
-Communicate and coordinate with key stakeholders across the organization to share priorities, roadmap, and key learnings, serving as an expert on eCommerce, web functionality, and online consumer behavior

-Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business or related field
-3+ years’ eCommerce product management experience with a proven track record of successfully launching new features
-Demonstrated experience managing features from concept to launch
-Ability to think strategically and exhibit strong business acumen
-Distinctive problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends to create actionable insights
-Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs and data into requirements
-Technical understanding of web applications and website UI design
-Extremely well organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
-Background in mobile eCommerce in a retail environment is a plus
-Proven ability to work with and influence senior management
-Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills
-Ability to operate independently while establishing strong working relationships with co-workers and cross-functional teams
-Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast- paced and deadline-oriented environment
