About the job:
Market Logic is looking for an experienced Product Manager to be the product owner of a key piece of our software platform. Candidates should bring a passion for process, management, user experience, and crafting world-class software. The Product Manager will take full ownership of the work of an existing agile team; equally covering inbound and outbound product management responsibilities, to drive further evolution and maintain a competitive lead.
Responsibilities:
- Act as a ‘messenger of the market’ from the outside-in to the rest of the organization
- Provide clear direction to an agile team with a prioritized backlog
- Define and prioritize market and product requirements for the winning product based on customer, prospect and evaluator inputs, market direction and field contribution
- Monitor the competitive landscape and observe industry trends and opportunities to deliver more value and differentiation
- Develop and continuously evolve a clear, compelling product vision; and operationalize this vision into a product roadmap aligned with Market Logic’s overall strategy
- Own the product roadmap and communicate it to internal and external stakeholders
- Regularly interact with end-users and UX Research team to fully understand users’ needs, preferences, and jobs-to-be-done and translate this to product market fit and a properly prioritized backlog
- Work with a Product Designer on your team—supported by the UX Architecture and UX Research teams—to transform functional requirements into world-class software
- Develop and review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Co-define positioning, core messaging, bundling, pricing and go-to-market strategy with senior product management in collaboration with internal stakeholders (pre-sales, sales, service, marketing)
- Support internal stakeholders (pre-sales, sales, service, marketing) with enabling, fact-oriented content
- Work with lead customers to capture user journeys, define, iterate and productize improvements
Requirements:
- You have experience in SaaS products for enterprise customers—relevant backgrounds include a minimum of two years as a product owner or product manager or four years as a business analyst in a product team
- You have worked with agile software development methodologies
- You have an understanding of the solution domain (enterprise knowledge management, capability building and business process effectiveness)
- You function well in customer meetings; understanding their needs, representing Market Logic, and working together toward solutions
- You are rooted in customer-focused, value-oriented thinking
- You can synthesize market and competitor understanding into a cohesive and differentiating software value proposition
- You can operationalize the value proposition into high-level product requirements and roadmaps
- You put user experience on equal footing with functionality
- You possess strong problem solving and organizational skills, are to multi-task, and have the flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities.
- You are a quick thinker who demonstrates mental agility, out-of-the-box idea generation, and developing creative solutions to challenges
- You can deal with ambiguity and uncertainty effectively and makes balanced decisions
- You are deeply committed to a culture of personal ownership and accountability
- You’re a strong communicator who can inspire your team and influence your peers with excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)
- Experience supporting strategic sales opportunities for enterprise customers is beneficial (e.g., solution architecture or pre-sales)
- Experience with native mobile products is beneficial
