The Education Division provides resources across Primary, Secondary, Trade and Children’s markets, both for the UK and for customers around the world. We are passionately committed to our mission to educate and inspire through digital materials and books.

The Digital Product Management team drives the creation and manages the customer experience of large-scale digital services. We lead the division’s digital product strategy, serving educational markets worldwide. We are passionately committed to understanding the needs of educators, learners, and parents, and to leveraging the power of technology to improving educational outcomes.

About the role

We are looking for a customer-focused product manager with a strong track record in delivering and managing successful digital and/or blended products. You will be accountable for future direction, educational impact, user experience, sales growth, and on-going success with teachers and learners. You will join a committed and collaborative cross-functional team who develop and support some of the leading online brands in UK education.

You will work closely with colleagues and senior stakeholders across publishing, sales, marketing and technology to develop and lead the macro business strategy. You will manage the product life cycle, from strategic planning to tactical activity, and have overall responsibility for return on investment. You will actively seek insight into customer need and user experience to inform product development and operational improvement.

The product manager role is an exciting opportunity for those with previous product management experience, but also for those looking to develop and shape their career towards Product Management having had previous experience in educational publishing.

About you

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate high levels of personal and business skill, including influencing, communication, leadership, stakeholder management, data analysis, and commercial awareness.

You must have:
•Proven experience in delivering and managing successful online products and services
•Proven track record in leading and influencing cross-functional teams and initiatives
•Strong ability both to shape and communicate a future vision as well as to tackle detailed operational issues
•Deep understanding of user experience and using product analytics to drive product development
•Sufficient technical understanding to inform and prioritise technology development decisions

Ideally also:
•Knowledge of the schools market and digital learning
•Understanding of the practical needs of teachers and learners
•Experience in Maths education or educational product development
