Senior Project Manager-Digital

  • Establish project teams, co-ordinate staff engaged in project work and provide leadership, vision, coaching & direction to team members
  • Lead and facilitate the scoping and design of large and complex programmes and projects
  • Lead the development the programme definition documents for programmes and project initiation documents for projects
  • Agree programme and project objectives and benefits and plans for delivering these
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Develop and maintain programme and project schedules and update progress
  • Secure from line managers adequate resource allocation to programmes and projects
  • Support Senior Responsible Owners and Sponsors with governance of programmes and projects
  • Manage programme and project budgets
  • Provide direction and support to project teams including external suppliers
  • Manage effective stakeholder engagement
  • Manage quality assurance
  • Continuously monitor progress, risks and issues
  • Manage exceptions and changes in programmes and projects
  • Regularly produce the required documentation on progress, exceptions, risk and issues
  • Help maintain and continuously improve TSA’s programme and project management framework
  • Provide training and support to staff in other departments in implementing TSA’s programme and project management framework

  • Experience of successfully managing and monitoring medium to large-scale programmes and projects through all stages of their life-cycle (E)
  • qualifications in both project (E) & programme management (D) or equivalent
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of both programme & project management (E)
  • Knowledge & experience of a range of project management techniques and tools, including relevant software (E)
  • Experience in contributing at a strategic level in delivering programmes and projects
  • Experience of managing and working on complex cross-functional programmes / projects (E)
  • Experience in working for a charity or membership organisation that has significant involvement of volunteers in the governance and delivery of projects (E)
  • Experience in stakeholder management (E)
  • Experience of identifying, managing, mitigating and reviewing programme / project risks & issues (E)
  • Experience of managing change in a complex organisation (E)
  • Experience of leading/motivating project teams (E)
  • Understanding of current cloud and software technology (e.g. Web Services, SaaS, cloud networking, hosting, web services, SQL, systems integration, web security) strongly desired (D)

  • Experience managing web application implementation/integration projects as a Senior Project Manager, following standard structured process and procedures such as PMI methodology (E)
