The Team:

Our products and services bring to market innovative services and solutions for Connected Car, Insurance and beyond.

Our business and delivery models are best described as B2B – enabling value across Allstate brands and outside of Allstate. Our key scenarios and patterns span a large landscape, but we have a common customer audience in software developers – members of a larger consumer ecosystem who will leverage the services you bring to market to improve the customer value in their existing apps and/or to create new solutions for connected consumer needs. Our team is small, but growing and this is an opportunity make an impact and shape our future.

The Role:

As a digital product manager, you will be empowered to create, drive and execute product strategy for one or more products in our growing digital product portfolio.

To inform that strategy, you will invest significant time with current and potential customers to understand their needs & habits and to elicit their feedback to potential product concepts and/or to released product iterations.

You will have updated customer journey maps on your walls. People will look to you as the Voice of the Customer.

To build buy-in for product strategy, you will be responsible for business case(s) and roadmaps that demonstrate how activities will translate into meeting KPIs and delivering customer and enterprise value.

To execute product strategy, you will participate in the development of software as product owner alongside your Agile team(s), partner with stakeholders inside and outside of the enterprise, and present to field teams and at events as the “product expert” for your defined product area.

The candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action and leadership in ambiguous situations

Familiar with user-centered design, customer journey maps and know how to apply these techniques to learn more about customers and to gather their feedback to product concepts/iterations. Or you are all-in to learn and operate with this approach.

Must care about the “why” and are able to structure a logical analysis to inform a direction (for example: frame a build vs. buy decision and use KPIs to evaluate a direction)

Demonstrate passion for mobility topics and/or Internet of Things.

Translate complex topics into a good story and deliver it effectively in person or in written form.

Able to judge your success by the success of your team and the happiness of your customers.

Essential Criteria:

IT/Engineering Degree.

Minimum of 5 years product management experience or technology development experience within an agile environment.

Experience operating in an environment driven by KPIs.

Ability to communicate complex and innovative concepts with proven experience driving decision making.

Ability to be self-directed and to proactively anticipate problems and seek opportunities.

Entrepreneurial with a strong inclination towards action, preferably with experience at a startup.

Clear passion for topics of mobility, Connected Car and/or Internet of Things products and an ability to identify possibilities to innovate in our product space.

Must be an EU citizen or possess a current UK Tier 1 Visa or Tier 2 visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience in product management or product development experience for a B2B business model

Familiar with user-centered design, customer journey maps and know how to apply these techniques to learn more about customers and to gather their feedback to product concepts/iterations.
