The product comes first and we want to meet people who are also excited about delivering a simple, easy and beautiful customer experience. We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our product and engineering team. You will work on the digitisation of clinics in Africa & the Middle East rolling out our healthcare platform to provide patients and healthcare professionals with great experiences. This is a full-time position, based in Farringdon, London, but with flexible working and part-remote opportunities.
Our systems are predominantly AWS cloud-based with web (today) and mobile interfaces (in the future). We use Node.js to build our API services and make use of Kafka, MongoDB as part of our data platform (storage, pipelines and analytics).
We’re looking for a Product Manager to own product discovery and development at Elephant. You will have an interest in healthcare and a desire to work in tech (rather than a tech-enabled) company. You’ll act as both Product Owner and Product Manager.
We’re looking for someone to work with our customers to understand their needs, problems and frustrations. You will have arranged workshops with internal/external customers and developed user-journeys off the back of this. You’ll work on prioritising (with techniques such as RICE) features and platform improvements with the exec team. You’ll work on the product roadmap and sequencing with the engineering team. You will also work with product designers to develop hi-fi prototypes carrying out usability testing where required.
As part of product development, you’ll work closely with the software engineering team using an appropriate development methodology to breakdown features into actionable work (epics, user stories) and then perform acceptance as per the definition of DONE. You’ll ensure they are well-written according to best practices (INVEST, AC). You will own and help to ensure the product backlog for the teams is in good shape (DEEP principles).
You will have:
- Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal and written);
- 2+ years of experience working in a product owner role with software teams shipping production software;
Demonstrable experience working in the product discovery role;
- Good critical analysis skills, dealing with ambiguity and presenting and communicating complex ideas with clarity;
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to evaluate trade-offs with the team
- Experience with using data and metrics to drive prioritisation;
Enthusiasm, positivity, curiosity, innovative, acting with care for others, speak with clarity and candour;
Ability to travel to customer sites in Africa and the Middle East when required.
It would be great if you have one or more of the following:
- Experience designing hi-fidelity prototypes or a background in user interface design;
- Experience building SaaS-based products;
Previous software engineering background – degree in engineering or a numerate discipline;
- Experience with data, analytics or machine learning.
