MOO is looking for an experienced Product Manager to take our B2B ordering platform to the next level. You will be picking up this relatively new-to-market product, and driving new feature delivery, user-experience improvements, and next generation innovations, to make the experience for larger businesses purchasing their identity products through MOO, an absolute delight.
‘MOO for Business’ (as it’s known internally) is a fun, fast-growing and exciting new division in MOO. The service we offer seeks to make it as easy as possible for businesses with multiple employees, or multiple clients, to create and purchase MOO’s premium business identity products at scale. We also want to make it fun – we want to turn the job of ordering company stationery into something that our customers love, instead of dread. Customers include many major, global brands and high growth tech companies including Uber, Skype, and Airbnb.
At MOO we have set up cross-functional teams, or ‘Crews’ to deliver our customers’ new and improved products and services. These teams work autonomously to prioritise and deliver the change that drives the 40%+ annual growth that we’ve been able to achieve. Within this role, you will be a key part of the MOO for Business Leadership Team and Crew and will work with the General Manager to set and deliver on a Product Strategy that will grow and retain the MOO for Business customer base.
Some typical projects you’ll be working on:
Development of features and services to cater for the small/medium companies, as well as those more valued by the large international corporates
Understanding our Reseller customers and developing a bespoke service to suit their needs
Ongoing improvements to the existing platform, that our existing customers value and love and that help to acquire more customers
We are a company full of product geeks, technology explorers, design thinkers, comedians, makers, bakers, scientists, artists, football fans and many, many other things but one thing we all have in common is a passion for building amazing products that help our customers and their businesses thrive.
Key Objectives
We hope you’re familiar with what is expected of a Senior Product Manager within a high growth, fast-moving consumer goods development environment, so we’ll leave out the basics and focus a few big, meaty objectives:
Jointly develop objectives and key results (OKRs), product and systems roadmaps with your team, General Manager, and executive stakeholders within the MOO for Business Crew.
Keep it fun – we strongly believe that just because its B2B, it shouldn’t be boring. In fact, working with MOO should be the highlight of that poor customer’s day, stuck in their grey office, dealing with administrative tasks and faceless suppliers. It’s only stationery ordering, but there are so many ways to make it efficient, and bring a smile to our customers’ faces. Stock photos of people in suits shaking hands are not what we’re about.
Deliver truly outstanding products and services, balancing priorities, to deliver the maximum impact against the strategy. This includes making decisions around quicker revenue-wins versus longer-term feature or service development; and steering the Development team to deliver on those priorities.
Define, in detail, the product to be developed – craft process flow diagrams, write user stories, manage the sprint backlog. Understand the give and take between velocity, scope and schedule and communicate the compromises when resources are finite.
Validate the products with real customers including running alpha/beta programs, working closely with our UX team, regular customer calls/visits, and using all data points at your disposal to understand the ‘bigger business’ and ‘reseller’ customer groups, how they transact, and what is and isn’t working for them.
You’ll be expected to have strong opinions, based on experience, but also the ability to take something quickly from idea to assessment to prototype to iteration; and ultimately feel comfortable killing projects that don’t live up.
Track and analyse competitive and technology trends. Develop business cases and assessments for major new product features and innovations.
You shall most likely eat a lot of cake.
