Digital Product Designer

DESCRIPTION

We’re recruiting for an Associate Product Designer to join our team and grow their product experience at JustPark. You’ll be designing products that reach over 3 million users, working on new initiatives that are at the heart of our user experience.

About the role

Working with the Product Designer, you’ll support the design of an exceptional JustPark experience for our users across our portfolio of products – including our mobile apps, web platform and commercial management solution.

This role is all about delivering projects and design activity to increase conversion rates and drive customer retention for the UK’s favourite parking service. You’ll work across desktop, mobile web, Android and iOS apps.

You’ll work across the entire design cycle – starting with the problem, using data and customer research to understand the root cause and start to ideate innovative solutions. You will do this alongside the UX researcher to test your ideas, build test collateral and demonstrate potential solutions to customers.

You’ll work with the Product designer to build this out into features that deliver across multiple platforms. You’ll translate designs to ensure a consistent user experience across those platforms. Once a feature is live, you’ll analyse performance and identify opportunities to iterate and constantly improve.

All that means working with teams across the business – you’ll interact with the Customer Happiness team to identify issues, marketing to gather feedback on the market, sales to identify new feature needs. And you’ll work closely with engineering, making sure the designs are translated accurately.

REQUIREMENTS

About you

We’re looking for someone who’s at the beginning of their career in Product Design. You’re probably already working in a design function, with experience in UI, UX or interaction design.

You’ll have an eye for creative design, with a proven track record of designing beautiful UIs. You’ve probably also had some exposure to UX, with some prototyping and wireframing experience coming in handy.

You might have a degree, you might not. What you will have is a great foundation of product design best practice including interaction design, UX and UI principles, and a drive to always learn something new.

We don’t stand on ceremony or hide behind hierarchy – here, the best idea wins. We take over 500k bookings a month, so you’ll have an opportunity to shape the experience of thousands of customers with each iteration. If you have a way to improve our user’s experience, we want to hear about it.

We work hard, but we have fun doing it. As individuals, we’re laid back and we enjoy spending time as a team. But beneath that relaxed exterior, we’re a driven bunch with a track record of delivering even in the most challenging of circumstances. You can expect to be given autonomy to work, but with that autonomy comes responsibility and accountability.

BENEFITS

We’re in this for the long term, and we have big ambitions for the future. To help us get there, we want to grow our own superstars from within. We fund additional training, provide mentoring and work with you to develop a career plan so we can help you get where you want to go, too. As we grow, we’re moving towards feature led squads, with an opportunity to take increasing ownership of your own portfolio.

We want teams that enjoy spending time together. So we’ve built a culture that encourages teams to get to know each other – whether that’s impromptu Street Fighter contests, company-wide away days or retreats. We provide a freshly cooked lunch every day courtesy of our in-house chef, check out whatsjuliecooking for some inspiration!

Our teams work hard to make JustPark a success, so it’s important to us that they can share in that success. That’s why we offer stock offer options to every member of the team. We work hard to achieve some ambitious goals with the knowledge we’re building something truly valuable.

We trust that our team has the best interests of our customers at heart, which means we trust you to know what’s needed to get the job done. Whether that’s working the hours that suit you, setting you up for remote working or making sure you have the right kit, we’ll work with you to create the right environment for you to succeed.
