Product Manager
dotmailer is looking for a Product Manager to join the Product Management team, based in our East Croydon head office (9 minutes Clapham Junction, 16 minutes London Victoria, 40 minutes Brighton, 14 minutes London Bridge).
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated colleague to join our growing Product Management team. Working closely with Marketing, Sales and Software Development you will take responsibility for a number of products within our leading email marketing automation software platform. You are expected to become an expert in your field, conducting in-depth marketing research and guiding the product through its entire lifecycle.
Responsibilities
• Being the voice of the customer – always put them first in development and drive exceptional customer experiences across our product
• Specifying market requirements for current and future products – conducting market research supported by thorough competitor analysis, on-going visits to customers and non-customers and discussions with partners. Deliverables expected shall include detailed MRDs and PRDs.
• Driving a solution set across teams, primarily with our Development and Platform Engineering teams and Marketing communications.
• Managing the development project during release cycles, working closely with engineering to deliver exception features and value to our products
• Supporting the product’s Go To Market strategy and deliverables
• Evangelising the product to both internal and external stakeholders
• Training and supporting our Sales and Client Services teams throughout the product lifecycle
• Performing product demos
• Managing the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements
• Proactively seeking improvements to our ways of working
• Monitoring and reporting on progress, impact and consistency across the business and identifying a clear set of KPIs for each challenge
• Working with the technology team to discover the right solution for product challenges
• Ensuring structure, focus and quality in product development
• Gathering input from stakeholders to identify opportunities and turning these into actionable roadmaps
• Being on top of user feedback and user flow metrics to identify opportunities to improve the user experience
• Monitoring and reporting on progress, impact and consistency across the business and identifying a clear set of KPIs for each challenge
• Ensuring structure, focus and quality in product development
• Balancing product requirements and market impact against time to market and project risks.
Key Skills and Experience
• Strong (4+ years) digital Product Management experience, preferably within B2B Enterprise SaaS or a related field. Experience in digital marketing and marketing automation would be highly beneficial.
• Significant experience working in Agile environments
• You will be able to demonstrate exposure to and experience of core development skills, information architecture, user journeys, wireframe design, testing and design briefs
• Proven ability to articulate business opportunities into actionable roadmaps through to implementation
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal in English
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Good academics (or equivalent work experience)
• Highly skilled at critical decision-making; ability to evaluate business issues and resolve problems
• Must be able to thrive in a highly dynamic, flexible work environment and switch rapidly from strategy to execution
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
