Are you an innovative Project, Product or Delivery Manager ready to join the fight against cancer? Can you bring to life and launch innovative fundraising ideas with the potential to raise over £5 million?
Our Innovation Team is backed at a senior level and takes the lead in developing new fundraising models. In recent years we have launched Dryathlon, Stand Up to Cancer, Citizen Science and World Cancer Day, which have raised millions of pounds for us to spend on vital research.
We are now looking for Innovation Delivery Managers to help shape new innovations, to test them, and bring them to market. In this role, you will be involved in the whole innovation process but you’ll take increasing ownership of ideas into testing and launch. As Delivery Manager you will own the budget and take the lead, so when the results come in you will really be able to say “I made that happen”.
You’ll use the latest Lean Startup methods to help design tests of customer needs and the first versions of ideas. You’ll set KPIs and write evaluation plans; you’ll monitor results and react to them swiftly when changes are needed. You will evaluate thoroughly and share lessons learned from those ideas that don’t make it to launch.
You will work with a variety of teams including Brand, Digital, Social, PR, IT, Legal, Supporter Services, Volunteer Fundraising and more, to trial early solutions and refine them into finished products. You’ll also lead on the procurement and management of the best external suppliers to deliver projects; and you may develop and negotiate exciting new commercial partnerships between the Charity and other companies.
Your job will be to ensure delivery on time and on budget, and lead a team from across the charity to help develop, test or launch the most promising ideas. But you won’t just be a project manager; you’ll push boundaries to make things happen and unlock the fundraising potential of new ideas.
If you have the following skills, you could help us bring forward the day that all cancers are cured:
• Excellent project management skills, with sound judgement, creativity and the ability to solve challenging problems.
• Outstanding communication, influencing and negotiation skills; with both the drive to push through barriers and the ability to maintain relationships.
• Passion and determination to take ownership of ideas and drive them to market; coupled with the ability to learn and share lessons from the ideas that don’t work.
Whether your background is in management consultancy, marketing, charity or in growing a startup, and if you have a track record of ‘making things happen’, we’d love to hear from you.
Join us, and together we will beat cancer sooner.
Closing Date: 11th October 2015
