We are recruiting a Head of Digital to join the team in either our Manchester or London office.
This role has the overall responsibility for the digital team at MCFC, covering all digital product offerings including the strategy and on-going performance of our estate of apps, websites and technical performance. This role also looks after digital innovation and consultancy for other areas of MCFC driving digital knowledge into the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading the team of product managers and technical platform owners, managing and motivating a talented team, offering a challenging and dynamic culture
• Setting up and ensuring adherence to the MCFC digital product development approach using appropriate processes like roadmapping, requirements gathering, wire frames, agile and lean development, and appropriate tools like Skype, Slack, Jira, Trello and Basecamp
• Delivering a strong app strategy, building on the success to date and building good relationships with the app stores
• Leading technical partner relationships with suppliers including supplier selection and procurement, ensuring suppliers meeting standards through day to day delivery against scorecard criteria
We are looking for somebody who has a strong customer focus, is results focused, understands commercial levers of how to drive revenue and has a passion for sports and entertainment. The successful candidate must have proven experience of working with agencies and leading digital product development for large scale digital projects including launching new services. Being highly comfortable leading major digital programmes of work as well as understanding and challenging technical aspects of delivery is essential. Significant experience of managing people including managing senior people and developing and coaching junior team members is essential.
