Associate Director of Product, Client Tooling Team

The International Core Ticketing Product team is seeking an energetic and experienced Associate Director of Product to lead the Client Tooling product management team. This position will be a member of the International Core Ticketing product management leadership team and will combine outstanding product lifecycle management, team leadership, and cross-departmental collaboration skills to work with architects, engineers and UX team members to deliver a number of legacy product modernisation and webification initiatives from inception to launch ensuring delivery on personal and team objectives in addition to Ticketmaster’s core business goals.

The International Core Ticketing Product Team is responsible for the management of a portfolio of Ticketmaster’s business-to-business applications for our clients and partners. These applications are part of a diverse suite of tools, mainly for line of business, including; enterprise and mobile ticketing, tools to manage events and allocations, promotion tools for ticketing and non ticketing inventory, and payments, financial settlement and point of sales applications for selling tickets at venues, outlets and call centres.

This Associate Director of Product, Client Tooling is a hands-on-role, and will require a mix of strategic thinking, product vision, innovation ideation, full lifecycle product management, team leadership and senior level stakeholder / expectations management skills. You will need to demonstrate the ability to combine product vision with the practical and influencing skills required to work with cross functional and distributed teams in delivering new innovative and cutting edge solutions to market. You will challenge and influence the development of the company’s B2B product range whist providing vision, leadership and guidance across the full product development lifecycle. You will manage a small team of product managers and support the development of new web and mobile solutions. Providing project oversight, you will support the launch of new product by guiding their development from concept through to delivery inclusive of the deprecation of legacy software systems.

Responsibilities

•Management of other Product managers to include mentoring, coaching, appraisals, continuous professional development, recognising individual strengths and building goals around them
•To build excellent relationships with internal and external customers in order to clearly understand and represent their business needs for each product within your remit.
•To gain a comprehensive understanding of your assigned portfolio of products and to provide product vision, strategy and input/management through project lifecycle from idea generation to post-release with regards to goals, business case, functional requirements, design and user interface
•To identify, research and validate market opportunities through existing and cutting edge technologies presenting findings and recommendations back to your manager and other Ticketmaster Executives demonstrating the business value of the proposed solution.
•To work closely with your Product Management team, Engineers, QA, Design, Project Management and Support teams during the release process to provide clarity around product feature definition, customer requirements and Sprint goals
•To track and report the business value of new features or enhancements using key performance indicators, reporting on ROI over agreed timeframes.
•To set an example to other members of the team on the shared ownership of all tasks required to complete good quality work for the delivery of product features and enhancements
•To actively participate in the development of a self managing cross functional team where every member of a project or release believes that they are “all in this together”

Job Requirements

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

•A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline or the equivalent industry experience and fluent in English
•Proven product management experience; preferably in the event ticketing and/or eCommerce space
•Proven full lifecycle product management experience and experience functioning in a Product Owner and/or Product Management team leadership role.
•Proven experience working in an Agile development environment
•Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research and/or industry trends
•Ability to juggle multiple priorities, be proactive and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
•Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts in the context of product ideas with both non-technical and technical stakeholders
•Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up hypotheses and drive actions
•Flexible, collaborative, team player
•Must be able to work overtime as and when required including international travel and attending conference calls with international team members.

•Passion for entertainment and digital media consumer products and services, experience in these industries strongly preferred.
