Marketing Effectiveness is looking for a skilled professional to join as a Product Manager – Marketing Mix Measurement (MMM). Nielsen’s MMM provides clients with a high-quality assessment of return-on-investment of their marketing spend, using advanced statistical methods. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of product, engineering, data science, and commercial leaders to define new features, develop a strategic product roadmap, and communicate with our clients and client teams to ensure our MMM product meets evolving client and industry needs, and grows Nielsen’s business.
Responsibilities:
Define strategy, develop product roadmaps, and execute on deliverablesFunction as the Product Owner within the Scrum team – own product discovery and prioritization, develop user stories, and manage backlog
Build product roadmaps based on market and user experience research
Create business cases and conduct return on investment analyses for new features
Collaborate cross functionally with engineers, data scientists, vendors, product marketing, and business development to plan, develop, and deliver, while identifying areas for improvement in efficiency
Regularly review the competitive landscape and analyze client feedback to improve product features and capabilities
Prepare product documentation; user guides and other supporting materials
Evangelize product with internal stakeholders and clientsAssume responsibility as subject matter expert on the product for Commercial teams, Modeling teams, Product Marketing, Tech/Ops/Engineering, Data Science, external partners, Clients, etc.
Respond to queries from current clients, prospective clients, and internal stakeholders
Demo the capabilities of MMM as needed
Effectively communicate product status and progress to leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications:
3-5 years of demonstrated product or analytic consulting/delivery experience in marketing / media analytics; domain expertise in marketing effectiveness measurement (e.g. attribution measurement, marketing mix modeling, sales lift measurement)
Demonstrated technical knowledge in front-end and/or back-end software engineering methods; some basic programming knowledge helpful (note: this is NOT a programming position)
Familiarity with statistical modeling / machine learning techniques
General Product Development knowledgeExperience in planning, developing, and launching products
Experience with Agile development principles
Demonstrated ability to drive product research and competitive analyses
Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate work across geographically distributed teams
Minimal travel may be required
