Product Manager

Can you turn strong technology into measurable user, product and organisational value? Do machine learning, artificial intelligence and natural language processing excite you? Do you really understand what ‘big data’ is about? Are you interested in truly owning and driving a product roadmap?

As a SwiftKey Product Manager you’ll need to be commercially minded and obsessed with the “why” of product-market fit. You’re passionate about creating value for the user and the company by helping to focus our engineering talent to create great products. Sure, you’ll have an aspect of the product that you’ll be asked to shepherd from inception through launch, but you’ll be equally expected to scan the horizon to spot and explore diverse opportunities.

You’ll guide the entire team with your engaging personality and communication skills, and the engineers that work closest to you enjoy having you on the team. Everyone around you is smart, so you need your intuition and the ability to amass the right data to sift through hypotheses, clarify the issues, synthesize a solution and execute cleanly. But everyone here is also intellectually demanding, so you must bring your depth of expertise to confidently create and articulate your vision a to wide range of stakeholders, including upper management.

At SwiftKey, it’s more about a quality end result than ticking the boxes in the right order. You understand processes but they work for you, not vice versa. We’re big on continuous improvement and sometime we ship, learn and fix in quick succession. We value being brave, creatively solving problems and having fun along the way.

Your strong engineering background means you’ll be happy to dive into the specifics of anything your team is doing. You don’t have to to always be the expert, but you’ll have the chops to critically and diplomatically challenge the team.

Bringing all of these skills means you’ll be a part of one of the most innovative and exciting startups in London, small enough to be nimble and exciting yet large enough to make a big impact quickly. And you’ll be part of a strong like-minded PM team to grow alongside.

We’re looking for someone with:

– Minimum 3 years (5-8 preferred) of product management experience on a technology- led product.
– Previous experience shipping and iterating on successful products.
– Exposure or experience in developing business models for software.
– Experience in helping to build a software-based product. Hands-on coding strongly desired. Engineering degree strongly desired, CS degree would be ideal.
– Business degree (MBA) optional but good.
– Previous startup experience desired.
– Ability to work independently, communicating across multiple time zones and levels of an organisation.
