Product Manager

Contract London Salary: £38,500 per annum Closes: 2020-01-15

Imagine not being able to move, sleep, or smile. Feeling anxious or depressed and struggling to think or remember. Your body not feeling like your own. This is what Parkinson’s can feel like.

Your mum, son or friend. Anyone can get Parkinson’s, young or old. Every hour, two people in the UK are told they have Parkinson’s – a progressive neurological condition. It causes problems in the brain and gets worse over time. Currently there is no cure.

We’re close to major breakthroughs. Funding the right research into the most promising treatments, we get closer to a cure every day.

Until then, we’re here for everyone affected by Parkinson’s. Fighting for fair treatment and better services.

We are Parkinson’s UK. Powered by people. Together we’ll find a cure. Join us.

About the role

This is a hugely exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual, experienced in product management and passionate about making a difference to the lives of people with Parkinson’s.

You’ll be joining our well established central product function to develop our personalisation offer for people affected by Parkinson’s. You will be working in a cross-functional team designing the future of our information and support services for people affected by Parkinson’s from the moment of diagnosis.

DHA is a collaboration between Parkinson’s UK, Reason Digital (partner digital agency) and a number of other healthcare charities. It not only has the potential to be pioneering for Parkinson’s UK but also the sector, this is the first of its kind. The beta trial is complete, a lot has been learned and there’s a lot more to do. The next phase is to support the central  product development, followed by the first exploration into machine learning.

Drive forward our personalisation experience for people affected by Parkinson’s with our partner agencies and in collaboration with other organisations.

To be successful in this role, you’ll have:

Significant experience of effectively managing a portfolio of digital products and services in a medium to large organisation.

Experience in a lean / agile environment; including: backlog creation, user stories, user journey creation and rapid prototyping as well as working effectively in a cross-functional team.
