Product Director, Ecommerce

Hello. We’re Lost My Name and we’re looking for an experienced, passionate, pragmatic Product Director to come and take ownership of the product vision for our Ecommerce shop at

This is a key hire for us and we’re looking for someone very special to take the role. We’re one of the fastest growing Ecommerce businesses in the UK. Our highly converting shop processes thousands (often tens of thousands) of orders a day and serves customers all over the world.

We’ve got big plans to expand our personalised product portfolio in 2016. We want to find a brilliant Ecommerce leader to join our senior team and ensure our platform grows in line with this goal – and continues to offer the beautiful, seamless experience that our customers love.

On day one you’ll take ownership of the product roadmap and team leadership for our largest internal team (‘Shop’). You’ll report to our VP of Product. Your immediate team will include our most experienced engineers, designers and analysts and you’ll have the budget and support to grow this squad in line with the businesses rapid pace of expansion.

In order to do this, you’ll have a special blend of skills that cuts across the whole product management stack.


First, you’re at heart a commercial person, passionate about increasing lifetime value, conversion rate and basket size – the bread and butter of Ecommerce – and you know how to use these measures to prioritise work and track your team’s performance.

Second, you’re also very design aware. Our shop is a huge part of our brand and we want our shopping experience to be as magical as reading our books, so you’re comfortable working with designers and creative people to create memorable digital interactions for our customers.

Third, you’re comfortable with the technical elements of Ecommerce. You understand how to work closely with engineers and QA people to get performant features out the door.

Finally, you’re able to wrap all this up into disciplined product management practices that ensure your team is happy, productive and shipping the right features at the right time to the right customers – and you’re in love with our mission to create millions of magical bedtimes for kids and families all over the world.

Due to the size of this challenge we think you’ll have around ten years experience in online retail or digital product management. You’ve personally led medium to large size teams of developers, analysts and designers to ship complex features in high traffic environments. We expect you to have managed all digital aspects of an international Ecommerce store turning over $10Million+ or a international digital product with 100,000+ monthly active users at some point in your career.
