Director of Product & Traffic

We’re looking to hire a Director of Product & Traffic.

This is an opportunity to work with a passionate and talented product team who’s product help’s over 5 million people a month to find the best possible job opportunity.

In this role you will have a significant influence on the success of the company in achieving it’s strategy. Reporting to the product focused CTO/CPO, you will inspire and direct a team of over 20 Product Managers, Product Owners , UX researchers & analysts and Traffic acquisition specialists.

This team will be hoping to learn from your experience and knowledge and to be coached by you in their discipline. To be successful you will need to have a track record of product and traffic success with a B2C digital business of scale.

The right candidate will have the ability to think strategically and communicate at a high level, but also to jump into the details and advise the team at a practical level. Most importantly, you will know that classified advertising is crying out for product innovation, and want to play a key role in defining what the future of job search looks like.

This will involve:

Lead our product strategy (both B2C and B2B) and work with a cross functional team on innovation and optimization around our key services.
Take responsibility for significantly growing new and returning visitor numbers
Aligning our product and traffic strategy and initiatives with other group businesses and helping to adopt and share best practice.
Ensure that we have a fast, iterative process for shaping and validating new product concepts
Define and prioritise the product roadmap (through your product managers and owners).
Coach and develop your senior team
Work with UX, customer service, marketing and sales teams to build a deep understanding of our customers and to help shape our offer
Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary Product, UX and Traffic Acquisition team to ship quality product increments fast
Leading the B2C traffic acquisition team and helping them innovate new approaches

We’re expecting you will:

Be an experienced product manager with a track record in building great products and a breadth of technical, UX marketing & business knowledge
Be motivated by our mission to help people find better job opportunities
Be intellectually flexible and a quick learner, able to rapidly get to grips with the complexities of delivering great, innovative products
Have the passion of a start-up but the experience and cool head gained from navigating and winning in enterprise scale businesses
Be highly experienced in enabling great decisions by articulating trade-offs clearly, highlighting where product focus matters and saying “no” a lot (politely)
Be well versed in traffic acquisition
Enjoy cultures based on autonomy and trust in individuals
Experience of a multi-national business will also be a major advantage in this role.
