Our Content team is currently working on semantic technology that will revolutionize the way we work with hotel data and help us to carry out the most comprehensive analysis of hotels’ reputations and information. We are now looking for an experienced Product Manager to join us on this monumental mission and take full ownership of it. We need a visionary, someone who can apply their business acumen to our users’ needs, and conceptualize solutions which not only fulfill these needs but also drive trivago in the right strategic direction. You will then translate these solutions into features which our developers can breathe life into. Working with the development teams, you will create roadmaps and ensure communication flow is flawless in order for projects to move forward smoothly. A typical example of a project would be to derive qualitative reputation data from hotel reviews and turn them into valuable insights or features for our end users/hoteliers. As Product Manager you will have the chance to make a real impact on our product and work with technology that has the potential to be a game changer for trivago and even the industry as a whole.
The ideal candidate:
• Has flawless communication skills and speaks English (our company language) fluently.
• Has an ownership mentality.
• Has 2-3 years’ experience working as a product manager or product owner.
• Holds a degree in Business, Project Management or a related field.
• Has a good understanding of semantic technology or is willing to fully immerse themselves in the world of semantics. Previous experience in a semantic company or in a semantic-related position would be a plus.
• Has a solid understanding of business and its mechanics.
• Wants to work with cutting-edge technology and have their final output seen by millions.
• Has a fierce commitment to the tasks they undertake.
• Can start as soon as possible.
Life at trivago is…
• The belief that factual proof, not seniority, determines which path to take.
• Self-determined working hours based on measuring productivity through goals rather than number of hours spent in the office.
• Being supported in all your needs, including relocation assistance and language classes for international arrivals.
• The freedom to embrace small-scale failures as a path to large-scale success.
• The opportunity to develop personally and professionally with regular free workshops, seminars, sports and activities.
• The ability to push your ideas through to execution without being held back by bureaucracy.
• Living in Düsseldorf, the 6th highest quality of living city in the world for expats.
Important additional information:
• This position involves traveling on a weekly basis to our office in Amsterdam to work with the semantic development team.
• Please note that your CV and motivation letter must be written in English.
• We do not require the services of an agency for this position.
