In 2016 we set out with the mission to make effective, evidence-based therapies available to patients who suffer from chronic diseases. As back pain is the number one cause of disability worldwide with over 1 billion affected people, we built our first product, a clinically-proven mind-body therapy app, to help people with back pain.
The role encompasses:
Kaia is currently providing a scalable solution to chronic pain patients all around the world, but we do not stop there. With additional products for people suffering from COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and osteoarthritis, we are expanding our portfolio. To serve people affected by these diseases we are building cross-functional teams able to execute on specific goals autonomously. As an experienced product manager with a hands-on attitude you are responsible to empower one of these teams to be able to work effectively. The position reports to the head of product.
Discover internal and external needs
- Research and define user needs in a structured way using quantitative and qualitative methods
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders from inside the organization to align on business strategy and market opportunities while balancing different needs
- Set the product vision, strategy and roadmap together with top management
Define structured and implementable experiments:
- Create clear product hypothesis in accordance with product strategy and vision
- Brainstorm and create ideal UX flows with our talented designers
- Specify features and write clear user journeys in collaboration with system architect to define and prioritize implementation blocks for engineering
Deliver features and move the needle:
- Create and execute rigorous product tests to further enhance the users’ experience
- Analyze outcomes of product experiments and channel learnings back to the organization
- Communicate & market product releases both internally and externally
As an early member of the product team you will have the opportunity to build the product organization and shape our culture for the years to come. We are constantly evolving and implementing best practices to stay ahead in the world of modern product management.
We are looking for somebody who has:
- done it before: 3+ years of experience in building or largely shaping a consumer-facing mobile product
- proficiency in a PM’s stack: Recognizing user needs, analyzing and visualizing data, writing specs & tickets, communicating clearly & listen carefully, managing feature releases, motivating and guiding an autonomous and cross-functional team
- strong quantitative skills and analytical mindset with academic training
- an eye for detail but also the big picture in mind
- high EQ and excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus
Ideally you also have:
- previously set up or led a strong product team before
- experience in solving problems in the healthcare system or being exposed to medical regulations
- a basic understand of machine learning
- experience in managing direct reports
