The Role
Reporting to the Director of Product Management, our Senior Product Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end lifecycle of the next generation of Chartbeat Optimization products. You’ll partner with marketing and customer-facing teams to understand the market and users, as well as with engineers and designers to make your ideas into reality.
Responsibilities
- Lead the ideation, evaluation, definition and prioritization of the next generation of Chartbeat Optimization products.
- Drive business results by maintaining a relentless focus on building products that clients value.
- Help lead cross-functional teams of engineers and designers by prioritizing high-impact work with clear requirements.
- Act as the voice of the user with insights backed with qualitative and quantitative feedback, often gathered via alpha/beta programs you run.
- Build alignment with key stakeholders to direct collective effort toward shared goals.
Your background, in broad strokes
- At least 3 years of experience in product management.
- A creative eye for how to solve users’ problems at scale.
- A flexible communication style that fluidly adapts based on your audience. You know when to dig into specifics regarding trade-offs for an engineering decision but can also engage with stakeholders about the status of a project.
- Can make tough prioritization calls, evaluating a decision based on usage/financials to draw conclusions and make product recommendations.
- Can ship projects that move the right needles. You execute the kinds of in-the-weeds tasks that are required without losing sight of the ultimate goal.
- Organized approach to whatever you do: You make sure meeting agendas are set, requirements are locked-down, and action items have been determined.
- A healthy dose of empathy. You deeply understand users’ problems and the results they’re trying to achieve.
- Intelligence. You can quickly learn, retain lessons and adapt to a wide variety of challenges and asks from the team.
Requirements
- A track record of shipping software products that deliver results.
- You keep your eye on the prize and make thoughtful trade-offs.
- Experience working directly with cross-functional development teams in an agile development process.
- A mastery of leveraging the variety of insights necessary to make informed decisions about product investments — from customer interviews to market trends to past sales figures.
- Experience building positive relationships across an organization — be that with a development team, design, product marketing and client-facing teams, or users themselves.
- A bonus: expertise in optimization space, either via work building optimization tools or via deep knowledge of their applications.
