We have an exciting new opportunity for a Product Owner to join Cancer Research UK at a time when we are restructuring our online health and patient information – creating greater personalisation and deepening engagement to support patients and the public who have questions about cancer.
This role will be at the heart of CRUK’s online delivery of high quality and evidence based information for patients and the public. It’s a great opportunity for a self-motivated Product Owner with a wide experience of digital products, to drive an exciting new programme to transform our web presence for the patients, ensuring it is industry leading, user focused and delivers value for the organisation.
We’re looking for someone to:
– Lead the development of our ‘About Cancer’ website, which provides comprehensive information on all aspects of cancer for patients and the public.
– Forge strong, collaborative partnerships with teams across the charity to deliver a programme of content redevelopment
– Understand our business goals, patient information needs and how digital technology can support these
– Develop the vision, strategy and roadmap for how we use digital to engage and inform patients and people concerned about cancer
– Drive the successful delivery of digital products for patients and people concerned about cancer
A confident, product owner with great communications skills, you’ll be comfortable working in a fast moving environment and driving change at the same time as winning hearts and minds. You can help us beat cancer through your:
– Ability to think strategically and to develop creative solutions to business problems, making the most of the latest tools and technologies
– Passion for digital and its possibilities to engage cancer patients or people seeking information on ways to prevent cancer or spot it early
– Entrepreneurial spirit that you can bring to bear in a large, complex, fast moving organisation
– Confident communication and relationship management skills
– Experience of budgeting, scheduling, work planning and capacity management across teams
