Medidata Solutions are looking for business analysts to help drive their life science solutions. This role will interface with industry experts, analysts, engineers, operations, and user experience designers to solve large, exciting challenges in the clinical trial payments or trial management systems space. Expect to be a Product Owner.
The ultimate measure of success will be creation of innovative solutions that will be eagerly purchased and easily adopted by pharma companies and clinical research organisations of all sizes.
The Business Analyst is responsible for conducting various data analyses in support of business intelligence goals and product strategies. We consider our Business Analysts to be Product Owners. You will also provide support as requested in the development of reports. The Business Analyst will join the Product Management team to help define and translate business requirements into functional specifications, using methodologies and tools.
Support the development of hypotheses related to clinical processes, outcomes, and associated correlations, participating in design and implementation of these experiments to test hypotheses
Perform exploratory analyses within or across product databases
Identification and characterisation of data outliers, especially to guide development of data handling rules
Design and develop reports based on specifications provided by the product management team, and/or under the guidance of senior reporting engineers
Learn product & user, Support product operations as a knowledgeable resource for product features and functions
Create detailed functional specifications based on established requirements for a product, Write feature files, Write user stories and feature files for product specifications, Develop specifications consistent with the product roadmap

Experience with one or more tools used for for client presentations, collaboration with other teams, requirements management, workflow definition, product issue management, and testing requirements. (for example, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Google Docs, Vizio, Lucidchart, Jira, Cucumber, GitHub, Bugzilla, Rally)
