Full-Time Anywhere

As the Product Manager for Growth, you will be at the heart of our InfluxDB Cloud business (B2B Database as a service/PaaS) and a key driver of our success as we focus on the self-serve acquisition of organizations to scale the company.

You will be the first hire dedicated to growth. As such, you will be shaping the growth team process and defining strategic areas of work. You’ll also need to be a hands-on doer capable of executing experiments, analyzing results, and pushing the envelope on what can be done. You will run a cross-functional team, with dedicated engineering resources and additional resources added as available. Also, you will need to keep a cross-functional group of interested parties and executives informed of progress to goal, s-functional group of interested parties and executives informed of progress to goal.

This role should not be your first time building and leading a growth team. Prior experience and thought leadership in growth activities around B2B Cloud-based products is a must, as is experience working at startups. Part of this role is setting an example for the broader organization on autonomous, goal-driven teams. We’re looking for a robust growth track record and a proven playbook.

  • Intensely analytical – you use quantitative data at the heart of decision making, and you are familiar with multi-variate testing principles, product usage analytics tools, and A/B testing tools. You use data to discover opportunities, identify issues and drive performance
  • Highly collaborative – you excel at communication, bringing together people with diverse experiences, opinions, and opportunities to drive decisions and action. You build deep relationships based on trust and respect
  • Player/coach mindset – you enjoy learning and sharing your learnings with others to help them improve

Your skills:

Years of experience is a blunt instrument. We’re more interested in the quality of your experience, your growth track record, and leadership in this new field of product-led growth.

  • Strong and extensive product management experience, particularly in B2B and/or SaaS/PaaS environments
  • Proven track record on scaling product adoption
  • Quantitative analysis and qualitative user research skills
  • Experience working with product designers to build simple and intuitive user interfaces
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Agile product management experience with specific methodologies
  • Have a customer-centric approach to problems while maintaining a sharp focus on commercial metric

A plus if you have:

  • Experience with Cloud Marketplaces
  • Experience with multichannel marketing
