Head of Digital Performance and Social

We are currently seeking applications for a Head of Digital Performance and Social within the Digital Public Services and Business Transformation Division based in Edinburgh.

As part of the mygov.scot team the Head of Digital Performance and Social will have full responsibility for directing the development and delivery of strategies covering digital channels and optimisation (search, social and analytics), leading on the design, development and implementation of the search, social media and analytics strategies to achieve significant growth of service uptake and increase the exposure of our products and programme of work. Through high-level collaborative engagement in complex stakeholder relationships, you will need to understand strategic decision making across the public sector to ensure our strategy for growth on the performance platform are appropriate, address areas spanning informational and transactional services, ensuring that visibility is maximised and that measurement is robust and accurate. Using agile project management methodologies you will lead on the prioritisation of high-level features to drive the iterative improvement of a performance platform within Scottish Government.

The successful candidate will require experience leading digital teams in businesses including public sector, private sector and digital agencies directing performance management and personal development. They will also have knowledge of digital channels including search, analytics and social – in particular running multi-channel approaches. The Head of Digital Performance and social will also require experience in Kanban, Agile and PRINCE2 projects and programme management methods.

This is a 23 month and pensionable appointment and new entrants will normally start on the minimum of the pay range.
