Technical Product Manager

Lost My Name is one of the UK’s fastest growing startups. Combining the power of storytelling, design and technology, we create products that give all grown ups creative superpowers to make magical, meaningful connections with the children in their lives. To date we’ve sold over 1.5 million of our beautiful personalised books in over 160 countries in the world.

Started as a pet project by three dads and one uncle, we’re now a Future 50 startup and we’ve recently been named one of FastCompany’s Top 10 most Innovative Companies in Media. Backed by some seriously good investors, we want to build the world’s leading entertainment, tech and e-commerce brand. We’re taking the best from the worlds of IP, technology, entertainment, publishing, product design, education and e-commerce to execute on our vision – that means we are one of the most eclectic, interdisciplinary companies around.

The Opportunity

Our Tech Product Managers are responsible for managing the development and maintenance of the technical internal products that have helped us grow into a global e-commerce business. Our “Shop” processes thousands (often tens of thousands) of orders a day and serves customers all over the world.

In joining our team, you’ll work with cross-functional teams to identify tasks, bugs, and features to complete for one or more products (see below) that will help shape the future of the e-commerce platform, payment systems and more for the business, while continuing to offer the beautiful, seamless experiences that our customers love.

This role requires a strong understanding of the retail industry as well as emerging B2B trends. You’re extremely comfortable with the technical elements of e-commerce and checkout & payments optimisation. You understand how to work closely with engineers and QA people to get performant features out the door. At the same time, you’re a commercial person at heart, passionate about increasing lifetime value, conversion rate and basket size – the bread and butter of Ecommerce – and you know how to use these measures to prioritise work and track your team’s performance. You’ll report to the Director, Product Ecommerce.

This is a great opportunity to have a direct impact on entertainment tech, and immediately into Lost My Name where you will be helping to grow and deliver more meaningful stories and experiences for families around the world.
