Product Owner Roles – Marketing

Holborn, London

Sainsbury’s is one of the UK’s biggest and best-loved companies, employing around 161,000 colleagues and operating 1,200 supermarkets and convenience stores. A success story that stretches back almost 150 years, we’ve built unrivalled customer loyalty and an annual pre-tax profit of £681m by brilliantly understanding and pre-empting the needs of the people who shop with us.

Join us in any of the exciting Product Owner roles now on offer here in Holborn and you’ll contribute significantly to the continuation of that success. It’s up to our software developers to know our customers inside out when creating new – and developing existing – products to delight and excite them. So it’s the job of our Product Owners to continue that understanding, launching them and developing the strategy and roadmap that will see them perform brilliantly across the whole spectrum of products and services.

We’re looking for Loyalty CRM, Data & Analytics and Marketing Product Owners at all levels. This is your chance to work alongside architects, project managers and developers to design services our customers and colleagues love and value. Continuously engaging stakeholders, you’ll win hearts and minds as you provide product leadership, driving awareness within the business of our Digital & Technology strategy. And you’ll have end-to-end responsibility for delivery and operation of all products within your portfolio.

A background in retail is preferred – but not vital. Ideally, you’ll be degree qualified and have a track record of product and stakeholder management within a large, complex matrix environment. We’re looking for people who know Agile from Waterfall, people who know how to analyse customer behaviour understand customer segmentation. We also like anyone who has worked with CRM concepts and is clear on what customer loyalty really means. If you have all that, this could be the next step on the way to becoming a Product Owner with one of the UK’s most forward-thinking retailers.
