The VP Product Management will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of products that not only help keep our strong current position but will also ensure our future growth. We believe that the right leader will able to craft a product vision by working with both our customers and internal domain experts. They will be able to utilize a lean-driven product discovery process to swiftly determine solutions with good product-market fit, can collaborate effectively with our tech partners to deliver products quickly to market.


Role/Job Purpose

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Flightglobal, and a key member of the Flightglobal senior leadership team you will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of our product portfolio across the four key sectors that we serve. You will have direct responsibility for the go-to-market strategy of this portfolio and will be expected to ensure that our current and future products meet the future needs of our customers.

The successful candidate will also clearly need to be a strong product leader, with the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholders, have a passion for our customers and the ability to make decisions in order to accelerate delivering new products to market.


Key accountabilities / responsibilities include:

Lead, build and develop the product management team for Flightglobal.
Deliver and develop a customer-centered, lean and agile product development process
Develop a deep understanding and relationships with our customers.
Direct commercial management of all Flightglobal products
Set and deliver the product vision and strategy
Own the business plan for new product launches
Set pricing strategy for portfolio
Owns customer value proposition and product positioning
Delivers win/loss analysis and makes timely decisions to ensure we fail fast and cheap.
Drives product innovation methodologies to improve product new product pipeline.
Works across and collaborates with the Flightglobal Senior Leadership team to ensure all aspects of the go-to-market plan are delivered on time and on budget.

Significant senior level commercial product management experience (10 years + as a guide), ideally gained in the online product or information solutions industry.
Strong preference given to candidates with Business Intelligence, Analytics, and Big Data experience,
Aviation market expertise preferred but not essential
Proven track record in successfully delivering the go-to market strategy of large and / or complex product launches.
Demonstrable experience of creating product strategies and roadmaps
Strong commercial acumen with proven track record of cross-functional collaboration
Strong financial acumen with experience of managing  product profitability
Analytical with strong decision making skills
Experience in developing, coaching and mentoring product talent to achieve their highest potential.
