Product Manager

We are looking for a creative and data-driven Product Manager to join our Product team, responsible for owning the delivery and success of existing and future products. With a keen eye for detail, you should be passionate about delivering great products that attract investors and entrepreneurs to the Crowdcube platform.

We enable everyday investors to invest alongside Europe’s leading venture capitalists and professional investors in startup, early stage and growth businesses; in doing so we’re enabling entrepreneurs to raise funds for their businesses through our platform. We have experienced year on year growth since 2011 and 2015 was the best year yet! Over 400 British businesses have successfully funded on the platform to date. What you will be doing:

  • Deeply understanding the needs and behaviours of entrepreneurs and investors through user research and data analysis
  • Defining and managing a clear roadmap for your products, in collaboration with the engineering team
  • Working closely with designers to map user journeys through the product
  • Proactively removing engineering roadblocks to maintain development velocity
  • Defining the go-to-market strategy, and manage the launch of, new products
  • Delivering regular updates on the status of your products to executive leadership
  • Identifying and mitigating operational, privacy, and regulatory risks and impact
  • Maintaining a detailed awareness of the crowdfunding space, and competitive risks and opportunities
  • Identifying new product opportunities, and the business case for pursuing them
  • Mentor, train, and be a role model for junior Product Managers

Ideally you will:

  • Have proven experience of managing medium to large complexity products in a technology driven company
  • Have strong working knowledge of web and mobile development technologies
  • Be comfortable performing data analysis using SQL, Excel, and/or Google Spreadsheets
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Have excellent written English, and verbal communication skills
  • Have a strong sense of good product design, and user experience
  • Be willing to try your hand at any tasks needed to ensure the success of your product

Desirable skills:

  • Experience at an early stage startup
  • Understanding of financial and investment products
  • Public speaking experience
