The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) is one of Canada’s largest single-industry trade Associations. Our vigilant eye on both the economy and government, plus the economic statistics and analysis we provide, enhance our members’ knowledge.  REALTOR.ca is Canada’s most trusted and complete source for residential and commercial real estate listings. It receives more than 25 million visitor sessions per month across all its touch points, and will soon reach over 200,000 consumer account holders.  The service has three broad functions:

  • To facilitate the consumer’s real estate needs by providing an invaluable source of industry knowledge as well as property listings, and subsequently connecting consumers with Realtors to continue their real estate journey;
  • To be a valuable lead generation tool for Realtors, delivering quantifiable business value by connecting them with leads;
  • To promote the value of Realtors and the community of real estate associations by continuing to be Canada’s leading venue for real estate information.

The Associate Director, REALTOR.ca, will play a key strategic and integrative role, working closely with the IT Services, Marketing and Communications teams as well as with users and stakeholders of REALTOR.ca. A key responsibility is to help shape the 3 year vision and implement the product’s roadmap.  This includes directing and overseeing the design and implementation of enhancements across all its assets, including the native website and its apps (Android, iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch).  The Associate Director will leverage product management best practices, mentoring his/her staff and building a strong partnership with the Member Support Centre.  Success will be measured through developing and managing a multi-year roadmap, identifying partnerships, managing the budget, building business cases, aligning resources and defining market requirements to deliver high quality, in demand functionality.

The successful candidate will possess a university degree with eight years relevant experience and proficiency in software-as-a-service product management including new product development and product lifecycle management and have experience in managing teams, developing and delivering information technology products and services.  S(he) will be an innovative multi-tasker, able to work in a fast paced environment with constantly changing conditions and shifting priorities, and have the ability to source and analyze competitive intelligence and leveraging it in product positioning.  A proven ability to analyze data from sources such as web and social analytics, quantitative and qualitative research and industry trend reports is important.  Additional strengths include a strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices as well as knowledge and management experience in environments using technologies and standards such as Salesforce, Google Analytics Premium, Radian6, SharePoint, Standard Microsoft Office, databases and management technology.
