Q4 is a team of creators, builders, and disrupters who specialize in solutions for investor relations. Who you are.
You have experience leading a team of developers to deliver projects on time by providing solid technical direction. You have experience or are interested in having direct reports. You are eager to learn new technologies, but also want to understand the business problems we are trying to solve. You are willing to question the status quo to find a more optimal solution to the existing process. You thrive in a positive, collaborative environment with your great communication skills. You believe in the value of iterating together towards a common goal.

What you will do:
Act as the bridge between your team and the product team, to provide estimates and develop realistic deadlines
Lead and collaborate with engineers and teams across the company to design and develop new features, improvements, and fixes to handle our current and future scale
Provide technical guidance and leadership for your team
Hands on experience in creating Node.js + Express based APIs and microservices
Hands on experience with at least one JavaScript framework like React (preferred).
Experience working with SQL and noSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB,  MongoDB etc.)
Like to learn and grow with teammates in a highly collaborative and open environment
Proven track record of mentoring other developers, and steering teams towards product completion.
Modernizing existing services and helping us define, standardize and automate the test of domain boundaries.
Develop your craft, improve your expertise in software development, and raise the level of the teams around you.

Required Knowledge & Skills:
6+ years of software development experience.
2+ years of leadership experience in software engineering teams.
Strong decision making, analytical, troubleshooting, time management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Capacity to work in a high growth, fast-paced environment.
Effectively communicate between teams and within teams in order to drive alignment and increase effectiveness on delivery.
Strong understanding of OO paradigm and experience in OO design.
Good knowledge of software development methodologies.
Knowledge of SDLC processes.
Demonstrated experience working with the business to accurately define requirements for effective solutions.
Ability to navigate competing product and technical priorities.

Nice to have:
Experience with AWS and/or microservice environment
Experience in Data Structures and Algorithms
