The Clinical Solutions team within Elsevier is focused on helping healthcare professionals improve clinical outcomes through evidence-based care at every stage in the patient journey. Our products and services are designed to help caregivers, professionals, and students improve practice, encourage broad and deep adoption of exceptional professional practice guidelines, and promote a culture of quality across health organizations.
The team builds and manages technology solutions that deliver clinical decision support, education and reference tools focused on empowering clinicians, be it in the education and research setting or in practice to make the best choices for their patients.
As the Sr Product Manager for Reference you will manage the flagship Clinical Solutions product in the Health Reference business portfolio. You will work closely with a global customer base, cross-functional team members, internal stakeholders, and other Clinical Solutions product owners to build and manage the future of the product offering. You will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about the business, the challenges and competing priorities.
As the Sr. Product Manager you will hold a vital role within a team of UX, Developers, SMEs, Scrum Managers, Sales, etc. Your core responsibilities within the team will be:
Set the long-term vision and strategy for your products.
Define and manage product roadmaps
Communicate (and execute) this strategy in partnership with relevant participants and stakeholders.
Gather requirements, write clear and functional specifications, prioritize features and establish KPIs
Manage prioritization and trade-offs for speed to market
Develops clear go to market launch plans through collaboration with customer facing teams such as Marketing and Sales.
Translate key insights and data into actionable recommendations for product improvements
Analytical and detailed problem-solver who works with B2B development teams to balance priorities and drive key results.
Employs evidence-based decision making to market-test and prioritize product features.
Leverages metrics to track progress on customer needs and ensures that product efforts move those metrics.
A highly effective and compelling communicator – written and oral – who is able to work with all levels of the organization.
Innovative thinker who improves processes and can drive iterative and incremental results.
Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and product definition
Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority
4+ years in digital Product Management, preferably in the B2B space.
Long-term ownership and success in leading product lifecycle strategy and planning, including the release of multiple, products and features.
Experience leading to demonstrable results working collaboratively with engineering and UX teams.
Successful record of implementing new products/features/processes with measurable results.
Preferably experience in the health technology space (eg. Health startups, provider systems, insurers, pharma, data management, etc).
Preferably experience with content (publisher, UGC, etc.) and/or search products. Bonus if experience with B2B subscription products.
