Product Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW 
Our continuous performance management software has quickly become one of the most popular People Operations products in the SMB market. Thanks to its innovative functionality and embodiment of our Best-Self philosophy, our solution is supporting employee development in ever-larger enterprises in more markets around the world.

The R&D team’s Product Manager will play a key role in ensuring this innovation continues. You will do this by turning customer needs into product priorities and roadmaps with user stories. Working closely with other departments, you’ll be responsible for effectively communicating product details and coordinating launches that help customers maximize their investments with us. Once shipped, you’ll track success metrics, report results, and propose necessary updates. This role requires someone who can build consensus within critical timelines and motivate stakeholders toward developing best-in-class products that reflect 15Five’s core values.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

-Understand our product and business strategies along with our existing and future customers
-In collaboration with your Group Product Manager, drive the strategy, vision, and ongoing roadmap for your product area and for your squad
-Use market data, customer feedback, and differentiating capabilities to influence product prioritization and strategy
-Lead problem discovery for your product area and execution of the solution together with engineering and design peers
-Work with Product Design & Research to understand customer needs and behavior
-Share customer insights with the wider Product team and use them to refine product direction
-Drive product improvements based on user data, customer feedback, and A/B testing
-Create scalable solutions while simultaneously pre-empting future customer needs
-Understand complex technical challenges and convey them to non-technical stakeholders
-Identify key northstar metrics across your product area
-Develop long-term strategies to improve metrics and use them to tell a better story about 15Five
-Serve as squad ambassador to the Sales, and Customer Success and Support teams
-Rapidly iterate and evolve the product to meet the needs of a hyper-growth company
-Work closely with your partners from Customer Success, Sales, Design, Engineering, Support, Product Marketing and other teams to solve key operational challenges and execute solutions
-In collaboration with the rest of the Product Management team, contribute to the definition and implementation of Product Management best practices
-Align with cross-functional stakeholders from Customer Success, Revenue Organization, Product Marketing, and Support on product strategy and launch

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

-2-4 years of product management experience
-Experience building products that collect data and meaningful insights
-Experience turning ideas into action and able to show results
-Experience working on SaaS products in a mid-size organization (200-1000 employees)
-Experience with B2B products is a plus
-Effective communication skills and adept at building relationships
-Ability to engage with end users, conduct user research, and integrate findings into your work
-Quick decision-making skills to solve complex technical and operational challenges
-Ability to dive into big projects and manage them from start to finish with assistance when needed

-Lead your squad in creating new OKRs having validated with internal and external stakeholders

SAME WEEK IN THE LIFE

-Monday: Attend the Product Manager Huddle followed by an all-hands Boost. Meet with squad designer on project progress, address engineer questions and tickets
-Tuesday: Meet for a sprint kickoff, jump on a customer call, conduct a 1-on-1 with your manager, share roadmap updates, prepare for upcoming product release
-Wednesday: Join your Squad Huddle meeting followed by an all-hands Boost, meet with squad designer, then spend the rest of the day doing work on strategy and specifications
-Thursday: Assist in a sales conversation with a prospect about your product area, plan for project discovery, brainstorm the R&D process initiative you are supporting
-Friday: Join Question Friday, meet with squad designer, review engagement data to inform the roadmap, submit your 15Five and weekly product update, finish the week’s tasks and plan ahead
