The role – Product Manager…

Our growing digital product function is looking for a Product Manager to lead our new conversion and optimization team- dedicated to improving the commercial performance of our site, from checkout conversion to order value to bounce rate, all while maintaining a user-friendly, on-brand customer experience. Heading up a cross-functional band of developers, designers and data scientists, you will maintain your own roadmap full of tests and improvements to all the crucial pages on our site and be responsible for bringing them to life at the highest possible standard.

What you’ll be responsible for…

  • Maintain optimization and test backlog, working with business stakeholders to surface new ideas and formulate hypotheses
  • Run agile sprints to prioritize optimizations to build and launch, define requirements for developers, and gather assets and inputs from other teams
  • Work with data team to set test parameters and success criteria and analyze results
  • Coordinate with other product managers to agree potential optimizations of large new pieces of functionality being deployed
  • Prioritise tests and optimizations based on ROI, risk, and ease of execution
  • Motivating teams and ensuring high quality output
  • Communicating the progress and the results of work to stakeholders and the wider business

What we are looking for in you…

  • Ideally you’ll have worked on product management, product marketing management or growth & analytics for an online company
  • Commercial and quantitative- comfortable estimating and then quantifying and monetizing the effects of site changes, and trade off that upside against effort and risk
  • Collaborative- enjoys working with a wide array of stakeholders, understanding their priorities and getting buy-in for the way we choose to prioritize things
  • Self-directed and proactive- able to operate effectively with limited guidance and supervision
  • Communicates with clarity and concision
  • Highly organized – skilled at setting milestones and deadlines and sticking to them
  • Experienced with test platforms such as Optimizely, Unbounce, Launch Darkly
  • Experienced with analytics platforms such as Tableau, Google Analytics, Mixpanel
  • Experience with JIRA or other issue tracking software, would be ideal but not essential
  • Working knowledge of Magento would be a plus!

What we will expect in first 6 months…

  • Set up a prioritized backlog of tests and optimizations to roll into development sprints
  • Identify any data or testing tools we need and work with our data team to introduce
  • Conduct at least 30 tests or optimizations
  • Set up reporting to document test results, site metrics and commercial value created
  • Establish strong working relationships with team to ensure sprints run smoothly (including running demos, retrospectives etc)
