Product Manager (Instant Messaging)
Ewell, Surrey
Permanent, Monday to Friday
£38,516 – £44,679 + competitive benefits
Our listening service is provided by over 20,000 volunteers working from over 200 branches in the UK and ROI. We are available around the clock to support people who need us by phone, email and SMS. Now we want to introduce an instant messaging service as well – so that people can access our service over this new channel.
We’re looking for a Product Manager to develop our instant messaging service. If you get the job you’ll be in charge of delivering instant messaging, leading a multi-disciplinary team of staff, volunteers and suppliers. You’ll need to understand the user needs and use these to prioritise developments and improvements. Working with colleagues, you’ll be responsible for developing training, policies, procedures and quality measures. You’ll have the opportunity to improve and expand the service by building new features, brokering partnerships and eventually carrying over lessons into the redevelopment of our SMS and email services too.
We’re looking for someone with experience of developing digital products who understands the nature of service development for vulnerable people. You’ll have experience of working in a collaborative working environment and working across an organisation to achieve the right outcomes. You’ll be passionate about the opportunity for our instant messaging service to help people in need.
If you think you have the experience and drive to succeed in this role, then please complete the application form. In coming months, we may also have opportunities for product managers with particular experience with CRM and/or intranet development so please get in touch to be informed of those opportunities.
