Product Manager

Oradian is an award-winning global SaaS start-up developing software solutions that
enable financial inclusion. Our innovative cloud-based systems help financial institutions in emerging markets serving the base of the economic pyramid. They radically improve the financial institutions’ performance by reducing their costs and help them scale their services quickly and efficiently.

We are changing the way financial institutions like Microfinance Banks, Credit Unions or Coops operate across Africa, Asia and Latin America. We move them away from pen and paper or out-dated on-premise software. By offering them state-of-the-art web and mobile services we are preparing them for the future of banking.

The Role: Your mission is to build world class banking software. By working closely with one of our founders, you will help us redefine the tools banks in emerging markets are using to drive financial inclusion forward.

 Explore and rethink. You are interested in listening to our users in Africa & Asia who
might be experts in using Facebook or WhatsApp on their phones but sometimes
have never used a computer before. And you will transform their needs and
requirements into a state-of the art SaaS solution that makes them forget that they
are actually using a full-blown core banking system.

 Building bridges. You will learn about the daily struggles of our customers and
identify the best ways we can eliminate those through our products. Your common
sense and practical and operational knowledge allow you to rethink customer
requirements and requests. You will translate them into feature requirements that
will help our customers grow and make our users happy.

 Create and document. With your attention to detail you are able to define clear and
accurate functional specifications. Your experience with UX and wireframes allows
you to guide the design and engineering team and help them understand the
functional requirements, interface and business logic of our products.

 Communicate and monitor. You understand the software development process and
with your experience in agile development you will coordinate the teams to deliver
new features or products on time and in excellent quality. All team members involved
in shipping new features and products will love you because you reduce friction by
improving processes and structures.

Qualifications:

 Product Person
You have a proven track record of managing products for at least 3 years, preferably
in the banking or fintech space. You know how to coordinate UX, Designers and other
stakeholders to define and prioritize new functionality.

 Usability & Customer focus
The products you have built are highly customer and usability focused. You are not
afraid of talking to users in Africa, Asia and Latin America and analysing complex
business logic. And you have a good understanding of UX and usability and have
preferably used wire-framing tools.

 Measure & Improve
You know how to measure customer engagement and the success of new features.
You are familiar with A/B testing and can analyse the results to constantly improve
the user experience and the impact our products have on our customers’ operations.

Details
You cannot stand when things don’t add up and are extremely detail oriented. You
have written accurate feature specifications and documented functionality and
business logic in detail.

 Technical knowledge
You have a good understanding of the development process and the interactions
between Backend Development, Frontend Development and QA. Preferably you have
worked with an agile development team, using kanban or scrum.

Location: Your will be working from our Head Office in Zagreb, Croatia – less than 2 hours away from the gorgeous Dalmatian coastline, Austrian Alps and some of the most exciting European capitals.
