Guardian News & Media Ltd. is one of the most successful and innovative media organisations in the world, renowned for leading edge journalism, product and commercial development, and famous for nurturing talented individuals.
The Guardian is committed to a “digital-first” strategy in which digital revenues are forecast to double by 2016. In order to achieve this, we’re investing heavily in launching new products as well as enhancing existing ones. The product range spans web-based and native mobile as well as apps on social platforms.
We are looking for a seasoned Product Manager to join our Digital Development department and be responsible for leading the Guardian’s ad product strategy across all of these digital products. This role requires close collaboration with Ad Sales, other Product Managers and Engineers.
As the Product Manager for Ads, you’ll act as the product advisor for teams across the Guardian and lead the development of new, bespoke formats and the adoption of formats from various providers. You will be the advertising domain expert for the Product and Engineering teams. You’ll work with Engineering teams to implement various ad products – ranging from standard units to bespoke, rich experiences – on various web and native platforms.
To be considered for this role you must have significant experience in advertising from a publisher’s perspective, exposure to multiple ad technology providers, and a background in data-driven product management. You must have a strong understanding of the latest trends in digital advertising across platforms, and some exposure to digital ad sales.
The Product Manager (Advertising) is an exciting opportunity providing you with the chance to build your career with one of the UK’s most recognised and highly regarded media brands whilst helping to bring The Guardian’s digital-first strategy to life.
