Associates, a Best Place To Work Company, has an opening for a Product Manager. The Product Manager is be responsible for developing short and long-term strategic roadmaps in
collaboration with our internal and external customers, and management team and staff across all departments – balancing innovation, integration, and budget.
This is an opportunity to leverage your significant SaaS experience in product management with a focus on human resource solutions and compliance to guide the expansion and marketing of Berkshire technology solutions. Your market research, user experience and product marketing knowledge are built on why companies commit to EEO/AA compliance applications, compensation analysis software and applicant tracking systems. Most importantly, you will help Berkshire staff and clients navigate the intersection of business success, technology and compliance.
Essential Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of the product strategy and vision supported by internal and external analysis
- Define creative, high quality, product roadmaps based on company strategy and vision
- Scope and prioritize roadmap based on business and customer impact
- Develop detailed, business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational support volume
- Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
- Understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
- Drive product launches including working with our marketing and sales teams and other department managers
- Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
- Represent the company by contacting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services – some travel is required
- Manage integration partner/vendor relationships
- Develop and deliver internal training to build product knowledge and experience of staff responsible for marketing, selling and supporting our solutions
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:
- Experience working on a Software as a Service (SaaS) based application – particularly applicant tracking systems, EEO/AA compliance applications, or compensation analysis software
- Experience with human resources software solutions in the area of hiring, compliance, and compensation
- Prior experience in talent acquisition and/or human resources compliance industry routinely addressing privacy, security, and compliance challenges
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5+ years of customer focused product management experience
- 3+ years of experience developing consumer-facing web applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate value proposition and technical information to a range of customer and internal
audiences - Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development, web technologies
