POSITION TITLE: Product Manager, Center on Extremism
REPORTS TO: VP, Law Enforcement and Analysis
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None
LOCATION: Any, Remote (US)
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION:
ADL (Anti-Defamation League) is the leading anti-hate organization in the world. Founded in 1913 in response to an escalating climate of antisemitism and bigotry, its essential mission hasn’t changed in more than 100 years: to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all. Today, ADL continues to fight all forms of hate with the same vigor and passion. ADL is the first call when acts of antisemitism occur. A global leader in exposing extremism, delivering anti-bias education, and fighting hate online, ADL’s ultimate goal is a world in which no group or individual suffers from bias, discrimination or hate.
ADL’s CEO and National Director, Jonathan Greenblatt—an accomplished leader and entrepreneur in the corporate, public, and nonprofit sectors—was recruited to the organization in July 2015. He has injected new energy and brought a bold vision to the agency. Under Jonathan’s leadership, ADL is transforming itself, upgrading its capabilities, leveraging innovation, building partnerships, and pioneering new horizons.
As Product Manager, you’ll be working closely with leadership at the Center on Extremism to set, and deliver on, product goals and strategy. Working closely with Center on Extremism (COE) and Center for Technology and Society (CTS) teams, you will be handling the daily tasks of leading the cross-functional team to deliver in rapid cadence on core team initiatives. Working initially with a contracted engineer vendor, you will be bringing your product management lens to ensure that the successful delivery of products meet requirements and expectations of the stakeholders. You are comfortable with open-ended problems defined by customer needs and relish the joy of taking a raw idea from, “hmm, how can this be solved?” through to finished product, including long-term sustainability and funding goals. You’ll also be working with an extended team of product professionals, designers, and software developers to roadmap the product set and measure its impact.
ADL believes that having a personal stake in the work is helpful, so people in marginalized groups, especially ones targeted by extremists, are strongly encouraged to apply.
