The Position

Are you looking to design a product that will help save lives everyday? This is a great opportunity to join a growing software company and to make a lasting impact in the safety industry. You will have the best of both worlds: join a software company that has a real product, real customers, growing revenue and a rock-solid financial picture. We’re looking for someone to join our product design team who will help us shape the future of our products. As a Product Designer, you’ll help to enhance our existing products as well as help us envision and design our growing product line.

 

Responsibilities

Apply our existing design library to create solutions that address user needs and business goals through sketching, research, user flows, wireframes, visual design, and prototypes (low and high fidelity)
Assist in planning and participate in design sprints for new product features
Ensure to incorporate user insight and feedback throughout all phases of design by participating in research, interviews and user testing, as well as amending designs following feedback
Prepare and organize documentation for design hand-off to development team (including high fidelity mockups, prototypes, exporting UI assets)
Work closely with development and QA team to test and address problems
Collaborate with other Product Designers, Product team members, as well as our Customer Success and Sales Teams to reach the right decision solutions for our customers
Qualifications

A minimum of 3 + years of experience designing responsive web and/or native mobile software applications.
Masters or Bachelor Degree in Human Factors, HCI, Design or related fields (or equivalent work experience).
Ability to communicate using rapid visual design techniques.
A demonstrable portfolio of work (professional and personal) which showcases the projects you have worked on and includes examples of your story-telling skills, from low-fidelity sketches through to detailed designs.
Demonstrable experience bringing real products to life that have been used by real people
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe XD), along with proficiency in prototyping software (Invision, Figma, Proto.io, etc.)
A positive and resilient personality. You must be able to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement.
Comfortable working in a self-guided manner.
Understanding of the psychology of design, and how users are influenced by it
Ability to work within a brand and style toolkit with a desire to push existing standards to the next level.
Experience working in an agile environment.
