As a Product Manager at City Pantry, you will be accountable and responsible for:

  • Product planning and delivery at a team level
  • Identifying product opportunities; works with customers and business stakeholders to identify and analyse opportunities to improve our products.
  • Writes clear user stories at a feature level
  • Product roadmap and backlog; build short term product backlog for 1-2 teams in line with the strategic goals and objectives of their manager and/or Head of Product, team and business stakeholders.
  • Maintains a discovery backlog of possible innovations
  • Product delivery and measurement; work effectively in an agile environment to deliver product increments and ensure that requirements are met.
  • Measures and monitors product performance after releases
  • Communication and stakeholder management; clearly communicates with mid-level stakeholders throughout the product development process and manages expectations

Required experience:

  • Has discovered and delivered opportunities within an organisation with primary responsibility for roadmap definition and delivery over 3-6 months
  • Has experience working with product development teams (software engineering and design). Our teams are an empowered combination of you, the product manager, a product designer, an analyst and an engineering lead with a team of engineers.
  • Experience of project and product delivery with cross-functional teams, able to overcome/adapt to unforeseen challenges to meet commitments
  • Gets costs vs value in team and clearly communicates and prioritises delivery accordingly
  • Has subject matter expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
  • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions
  • May lead functional projects or workstreams within a project
  • Works independently, identify innovation solutions, receiving minimal guidance.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the techniques and methods of product discovery and product delivery.
  • Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship.
