*Position Description *

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager, to join a growing product and engineering team to further scale the core product – Sigma Terminal – and set up Sigma for the next phase of growth.

**Must have demonstrated SQL & Python experience

You will hit the ground running to drive a range of high impact roadmap initiatives to deliver on direct customer opportunities. Along with the rest of the product team, you will work closely with Customer Success, Engineering, Analyst and Sales teams to take features and enhancements from conception to reality. You will build on Sigma’s current market momentum and act as a multiplier for engineering efforts, ensuring customer requirements are well understood, articulated and converted into elegant solutions.

Your Role

Own the product process for one of Sigma’s two flagship products, from user feedback & strategic planning, through the development cycle to release notes & impact analysis

Work tirelessly to understand the user’s mindset and requirements, talking with sales, customer success and directly with users

Use that understanding to empathize & advocate for the user’s perspective, developing user personas and making informed tradeoffs and product decisions

Distill these insights and needs into clear engineering requirements that sketch out screens, information flow and what data is impacted

Quickly and effectively craft requirements of an MVP or incremental release that are simple, clear and actionable

Combine analytics data, user feedback and product intuition to consistently and incrementally improve feature releases, in line with Sigma’s Product Principles

*Candidate Qualifications *

2+ years of Product Management experience at a high-growth startup
4+ years experience in technical role (SQL and python experience required, software engineering is a plus but not required)
Created technical requirements that contain data, validation and algorithmic details that engineering can understand and easily execute on
AML and/or fintech experience valuable but not essential

What We Seek

Driven by the vision of detecting & monitoring financial crime and governance risk and are passionate about building and executing on concrete plans to get there

Immerse yourself in your domain and users. Know the value of developing a deep understanding of the problem domain and solution landscape
Are experienced and methodical across the product process, with demonstrated experience delivering successful, user-focused products

Immerse yourself in data, firmly understand it’s value and when to trust your intuition

Have a highly tuned ability to reason about users, product and solutions

Know how to get 80% of the value out of any feature or project with 20% of the effort, even when that means taking on the “nitty-gritty, boring work” when needed, recognizing no specific bounds to the scope of your role

Thoughtfully balance quick wins vs. platform investments appropriately, articulating the value of offense and defense projects across the wider teams to ensure buy in

Build strong relationships with people on the team (and inside, outside, up, down, and across the company) creating space for better communication and trust

Are known as source of clarity across an organization, arming yourself with data and research to simplify complexity and articulate value & tradeoffs concisely but effectively

*What We Offer *

Unlimited opportunity to grow in a fast-growing company

Highly competitive compensation & company stock

Collaborative team that deeply values innovation and problem-solving

Generous leave and work-from-home policies

Health insurance, dental and commuter card/Citibike

Opportunity for international travel
