We’re looking for a product manager to lead Reincubate’s iPhone Backup Extractor product, which is used by consumers, small business, law enforcement and government to access and recover backup data. It has had over 6m installs globally.

As product manager for the iPhone Backup Extractor, you understand and represent the voice of the user at Reincubate. You lead teams to define, build, and optimise the product. Day to day this ranges from researching market opportunities, to analysing competitors’ offerings, to developing the perfect roadmap to achieve business outcomes, to shipping incredible customer experiences. You live and breathe data access, recovery and presentation. You possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You love talking to customers to understand their problems, and finding innovative solutions for the broader market.

Key results

  • Define and communicate an innovative, values-fitting product roadmap to deliver increasing amounts of intuitive value to users
  • Coordinate the design, engineering, and testing teams to deliver regular, timely, high performance product updates against the roadmap
  • Lead the Customer Support Manager to delight customers in their interactions with us around the product


  • Understand our market and competitors
  • Lead definition a product vision and strategy: quarterly, annual, 2020
  • Research, understand, and represent the voice of the customer through frequent interactions with customers
  • Line-managing design, customer support and testing teams, and work closely with engineering, marketing, sales and finance
  • Break down complex problems into steps that drive iterative product development
  • Be accountable for building — and assessing performance of — the right product features to support business objectives and delight customers
  • Developing the right processes for our product cycle, and ensuring we do the right thing
  • Serving as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering
  • Define, monitor and react to product metrics

For this position, we are seeking someone with a technical background that loves talking to customers, understanding their problems, and building great products to surprise and delight them.

Skills, traits and competencies

  • Strong data / analytics / testing: getting the right data and having the discipline to apply it in decision-making
  • Enough “product-sense” to ask the right questions
  • Excellent capability for working with software engineers
  • 2+ years of software product management experience
  • Deep familiarity with the iOS as an expert user
  • A passion for understanding users and their experiences with products
  • Comfort with modern product management practices such as user story mapping
  • Knowledge of user experience design and research practices is helpful
  • A passion for building great products, and curiosity about delightful products no matter what the domain
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to work in a highly collaborative environment, with a strong sense of personal ownership
  • Experience with lean/agile development methodologies (Kanban, XP or Scrum)
  • Experience working with geographically-distributed teams
