Product Manager

Almost everything in the modern world runs on wires. At Cirris Systems, we help ensure the right wires will function correctly. For over thirty years Cirris has built equipment to test wires, cables, and harnesses. Cables tested by Cirris products go on to perform any number of tasks, many of which save lives.

As a product manager, you will help direct the development of future products and ensure that we are building something that people actually want to buy. You will become an expert on the market and work with Sales, Engineering, and Marketing to improve the success of all our products.

Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

  • Become an expert on our products and the markets we serve
  • Interact regularly with customers and others in industry to learn of trends and needs
  • Collect and analyze data to provide insights for development
  • Collect and manager new product/feature ideas
  • Prioritize problems to be solved for new and existing products
  • Perform research on potential ideas to test market validity
  • Help to create and maintain internal and external product roadmaps
  • Guide the user experience for products through research, design, and usability testing
  • Work with Engineering to guide development toward meeting customer needs
  • Work with Marketing to guide positioning of products
  • Work with Sales to ensure they have the necessary resources to sell effectively
  • Regularly review performance of launched products

Required experience and skills:

  • BA/BS degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, Design, Business, Etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Willingness and ability to understand technical topics relating to our industry
  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment, with little supervision
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

The following skills/experiences are a plus:

  • Product experience with physical, B2B products
  • UX, User Research experience
  • Familiarity with Pragmatic Marketing and/or Lean Startup methodology
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence and agile development practices
