We are looking for a creative, data-driven product marketing superstar to join Labster and help scale the reach of our consumer mobile product (https://play.google.com/store/…) targeted to emerging markets. We have ambitious goals to grow the impact of this product from the early stage of hundreds of thousands of users, to a 100 million in as short a time as possible. This should be a scary-but-exciting goal for you. Naturally you’ll need to be someone who enjoys connecting with young people and students around the world. It’s our most mission-focussed product aimed at helping those who don’t have access to high quality education.
You’ll lead, design and execute strategies for user growth in our existing emerging markets, launch new markets, work with the mobile product team to identify new product opportunities, lead go-to-market activities, and provide feedback about our products to the team.
This has a B2C responsibility but will also work closely with our Product Marketing team for B2B products to ensure alignment on go-to-market efforts.
Identify and execute opportunities for marketing our mobile consumer product and growing its user base
Create engaging targeted campaigns across multiple platforms to build engagement among young people, teachers and parents
Work with local country experts where necessary to roll out campaigns and increase adoption
Drive traffic to the mobile product and feeding intelligence to the product team
Identify and assess new opportunities for business growth, partner on product strategy, and weigh the complexities and tradeoffs inherent in marketing a global product
Navigating a complex, matrixed organization to get work done, and building strong relationships across our company
Taking risks to try creative ideas to achieve step-change growth
Managing a sizeable budget
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience building a brand with young people around the world, students a plus
Demonstrated experience building and scaling a user base or community from 100s to millions using a variety of techniques a plus
Experience creating and executing marketing campaigns, to teachers and students a plus
Experience working closely with a product team to inform product strategy and decisions
Experience evangelizing or building a community of ambassadors is a plus
Deep experience across a broad variety of marketing disciplines, delivering growth through organic, paid and lifecycle marketing programs
Previous background in B2C marketing, preferably in the education sector, for students or youth
Experience with both bottom-up and top-down growth strategies
Comfort in a fast-paced environment
Genuine interest in creating a movement of students wanting to learn and engage with our products
Self starter who can get their hands dirty and can execute with a budget but little else
