SCOPE OF ROLE
In this role as Product Manager you will be part of the Product Management team and responsible for delivering new products, product planning and execution in order to support the delivery of the UX Strategy and wider Offering Strategy. You will be able to understand the customer and the problem/opportunity landscape and support the delivery of the Evaluate subscriber platform (incl. website, data-feeds, mobile, custom offerings).
You will also take ownership of discovering new products/improvements, revenue opportunities and customer requirements, and manage UX product development from conception, through to BAU. You will work collaboratively across departments and will take accountability for internal company-wide communication around your projects and work. You will work to gather and prioritise product and customer requirements, define the product vision, and work closely with design, software development, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and client satisfaction goals are met.
HOW YOU`LL SUCCEED
- Input to and align with the UX strategy, including industry trends, best practices and standards, feasibility, innovation and ideation
- Lead, in collaboration with other Product Managers, direct client research on UX and utilise insights
- Ensure analytics and data are used to support decision making
- Collaborate with internal delivery teams, including Software Development, Data Operations, Product Development, and Vantage to get projects/product improvements delivered
- Have a deep understanding of web/HCI UIUX principles and related web application technologies and trends
- Practice and be an advocate for user-centred & data-validated product design & development, ensuring that users and data are at the heart of decision making, working closely with Product Managers and the Product Development team to ensure that design is considered at the right time in any new projects
- Collaborate closely with Client Success and Sales to understand client needs and ensure optimal go to market and acceptance of new and enhanced user functionality
- Participate in any other Product Management and UX team initiatives as required
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Develop business cases and commercial models
- Create and manage product strategies, roadmaps and backlogs
- Translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, and work with design, engineering test teams through feature development (internal and 3rd party teams)
- Conduct usability/concept testing, working with UXD and customers
- Set up stakeholder groups and own communication
- Develop core positioning and messaging
- Run competitive tenders
- Perform market analysis
- Conduct demos and give presentations to the business/clients
- Troubleshoot problems/incidents, co-ordinating releases and patches when required
- Liaise closely with the software and test teams throughout development
- Develop/commission user guides, marketing or presentation training materials
WHAT IT TAKES
- Website product management/operations experience i.e. websites, web applications or software systems
- Experience of software/application development processes and cycles
- Experience of leading cross-functional teams
- Great analytical skills and detail orientation
- Experience in management of UX Design
- Up to date knowledge of Internet technology
