Senior Product Manager – Subscriber Platform

Evaluate Ltd is a major international company providing outstanding market intelligence services for the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device , Financial and Consulting sectors, through the Evaluate Pharma®, Evaluate Medtech®, EvaluateClinicalTrials and Evaluate Vantage® online brands. Our international clients in Pharma and Biotech, Medtech, Banking and Consultancy regard Evaluate Pharma® as the industry’s gold standard for timely and accurate analysis of reported drug sales, consensus sales forecasts, R&D pipeline, markets and comprehensive company financials.

Our clients primarily access our data and services via a web-based subscriber platform. In 2021 we are rebuilding the platform from the ground up, utilising market leading technologies to deliver a cutting-edge user interface with associated features such as data alerts, multiple export formats, customisable dashboards, data visualisation and interactive and customisable data. This highly strategic project will be delivered by the User Experience Organisation within the Evaluate Product Management Team.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager and Product Owner for the subscriber platform product. This is a strategic and high profile role that will be instrumental in the delivery of the highest priority project within the business in 2021/22.

SCOPE OF ROLE

You will be the Product Owner for the client-facing subscriber product platform, including associated sub-applications (digital adoption app, customisation, personalisation, data alerts).

You will work with a dedicated Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Development Team and Designer and be the:

  • Go-to person for the Development Team, responsible for defining goals and executing the vision for the project
  • Serve as the customer proxy responsible for working with Business Owners and other stakeholders
  • Developing and explicitly communicating the Product Goal
  • Grooming and managing the Product Backlog (supported by a business analyst), ensuring that the Product Backlog is transparent, visible and understood
  • Clearly communicating (PO) Product Backlog items
  • Prioritising Product Backlog features/ items; and Just-in-time story elaboration
  • Planning delivery; iteration and release cycles, including defect prioritisation and assessing and accepting work completed
  • High availability and close collaboration with Dev team, attending all Scrum related meetings
  • Be across and contribute to all workstreams (development, user research and testing, communications, migration
  • Communication of product platform strategy

You will also be able to develop a deep understanding of market challenges and related value propositions of the subscriber product platform, in line with Evaluate’s offering strategy:

  • Communication of product platform strategy
  • Serve as an internal/external evangelist for user-centred design, ensuring that the products and services we deliver have usability at their core
  • Establish new or leverage existing repeatable mechanisms with customers and customer-facing employees to understand market needs, customer-driven enhancement requests, and customer product satisfaction
  • Proactively monitor competitive landscape to understand opportunities and threats, both to inform strategy, as well as to drive tactical response

Support business strategy, including:

  • Business case development
  • Product and content profitability analysis
  • Win/loss analysis
  • Due diligence of any acquisition and partner targets
  • Positioning of specific content types and offerings

Develop and implement go-to-market plans as needed, including:

  • Launch plan
  • Thought Leadership
  • Sales collateral and tools
  • Marketing collateral
  • Channel Training (particularly sales and client support)

WHAT IT TAKES

  • You have experience of developing and managing a B2B data-driven web application or data platform
  • You know how to run products at various stages of maturity, from legacy to greenfield
  • You have an advanced understanding of design, technology and data principles. You will be able identify problems and implement solutions
  • You will have relevant experience as Product Manager or Senior Product Manager and keen to further develop your career
  • You also have knowledge and experience of Lean /Agile working
  • You are experienced in launching new products and features and then delivering incremental improvements through a product roadmap
  • You have designed and worked with data-driven products that contain complex datasets and relationships
  • You love making data driven decisions – quantitative, experimentation-based problem-solving skills, such as A/B testing, to make product improvements
  • You have an excellent understanding of UX and UI design practices i.e. user-centred design, research, usability and concept testing, persona development and story mapping
  • You understand internet technologies, including popular JavaScript frameworks and how micro-services and applications communicate using APIs
  • You have the ability to specify business requirements in a functional manner, and are able to help write user journeys as repeatable, testable processes
