We are looking for a part-time, user-centric UX/UI designer to join our team part time.
native is a platform that connects students with amazing experiences, built out of a passion to help students have the best time at university. We bring high quality virtual and IRL events to campuses across the UK and Ireland whilst supporting campuses with powerful engagement tools.
We’re expanding rapidly and are looking to bring on a talented UX/Designer to help support our product development at this crucial stage. You will play a key role in the development of these engagement tools into easy-to-use products for our clients and their users.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience as a UI / UX designer
Strong ability to report on research to develop user-centric design briefs - A high quality portfolio to demonstrate your process and design skills
- Experience in UX research and user-testing
Enjoys facilitating UX workshops and getting stakeholder buy-in - Experience in quickly generating wireframes, physical & digital prototypes
- Aptitude for mobile-first approach and design with performance in mind
- Recognises KPIs and owns the design process until success is achieved
- Collaborate well with designers and developers the team
- Confident using modern design applications prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools
Responsibilities
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours and images
