Director of Product Management – Financial Products

YOU ARE a Director of Product Management for financial products. You will help define and build the roadmap and customer experience. You will participate in developing the product strategy and vision, and develop product roadmaps to execute on that vision. This role is inherently cross-functional; you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, marketing, and other teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance our customer experience. We are looking for someone who is highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team-oriented, and has the ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. You will also have a consistent track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of Earth Class Mail customers, both existing and potential.

You will own the development of detailed product requirements documents, working backward from the customer.

You will work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and other teams to deliver on the product roadmap.

You own the lifecycle for the financial products. You define the 3-5 year strategic vision, have a long-term roadmap, and drive teams to execute on that vision, YOU own customer engagement and take point on product reliability issues impacting customers.

You identify and proactively manage areas of business importance related to your products: customer value, market opportunity, financial and legal compliance, product architecture, etc.

You design product value propositions and communications for large marketing, PR, and sales.

You are adept at building consensus. You align teams towards coherent technology and business strategies. You bring clarity to complexity, probe assumptions, illuminate pitfalls, and foster shared understanding.

You partner effectively with other leaders involved in the design, development, marketing, and sales of your products, You are able to influence their roadmap priorities and reach consensus on approach/prioritization.

Requirements
WHAT YOU WILL BE BRINGING:
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.

Experience operating and delivering results in a consumer-facing mobile app/services product management role.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.

Strengths in problem-solving, issue resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.

A passion for self-service products that help individuals and businesses.

Preferred Qualifications
MBA Preferred.

Experience in product management of financial products or within the financial services industry.

Experience working with software engineers to deliver customer-facing technology products.
